Biography

Spurgeon was born and raised in Alabama. She graduated college early with her BA in Theatre from Birmingham Southern College in Birmingham, AL. During that time, she also attended Acting for Film classes at the New York Film Academy in New York City.

After getting married much younger than expected, Spurgeon settled down with her husband in Charlotte, NC before moving to various cities around the Southeast. She continued her film acting lessons with Lon Bumgarner at both the Film Actors' Studio Charlotte and Alliance Theatre in Atlanta, GA. She signed with JTA Talent Inc. in 2016 and remained on their roster for eight years. They made a bittersweet decision to mutually dissolve their contract when Spurgeon moved out of their jurisdiction to Texas on Halloween day in 2024.
