Taniqua A'shana Nefertia Jones was born April 23, 1988 in Brooklyn, NY to the parents of Russell Jones (Ol' Dirty Bastard) and Icelene Jones. Taniqua grew up in the BedStuy area of Brooklyn and Deer Park Long Island New York. During her adolescent years, Taniqua's parents kept her and her siblings out of the spotlight due to their personal views towards the entertainment industry. As a child Taniqua's dream was to become an obstetrician-gynecologist after her mother became pregnant with her younger brother Qa'saun, in which she became fascinated with. Growing up was fun in the Jones' household, the family encountered a lot of memorable moments. However, at the age of sixteen Taniqua's father passed away just two days before his 36th birthday on November 13, 2004. In 2015, she decided she would continue her father's legacy along with keeping his name alive. She became her brother's (Young Dirty Bastard) Manager and in 2018 became the Brand Ambassador for the Estate of Russell Jones making herself one of the face's of the company. During the summer of 2019 she was featured on We TV's Growing Up Hip Hop New York. During the season, Taniqua gave fans an insight of what it's like to be a child of the late great ODB. To say this woman is versatile would be an understatement. From being a mother of two beautiful children she's able to run a legacy, star on reality tv along with having a passion for art. Her plans for the future will be to star in featured films and television shows, a make-up and clothing line, give back to inner city communities with food and toy drives, as well as hosting many events with some of today's well-known artists of all sorts. She's excited to show the world just exactly who Taniqua Jones is and what it's like to be part of a legacy.
