Biography

Born in Long Beach, California, and raised in the San Fernando Valley, Mair Flores is a true Los Angeles native. Her parents are from Honduras, making Mair a first-generation Honduran-American.

Mair has studied acting techniques thoroughly for over ten years, including Meisner, Stella Adler, and Alexander Technique, among others. She recently traveled to Bali, Indonesia, as part of a unique approach to acting that brought mind, body, and spirit into balance in order to obtain profound character embodiment. As a working actor and emerging writer, Mair is taking ownership of her art by developing the stories she wants to see in the world-stories that center underrepresented voices and bridge divides through authentic, compassionate storytelling. She co-wrote the short film Buscando Alma with writer/director Melissa Fisher, which has screened at festivals worldwide, bringing empathy to the immigrant and trans experience. She is currently developing her first feature screenplay.
