Tahira's dad is Mauritian of Indian descent, and her mum is Australian of English, Dutch, and German descent. Having grown up in Mauritius, Tahira is fluent in English, French, and Mauritian Creole. Being around different languages has given the actress a great ear for accents. Her multi-cultural upbringing has also given her a broad perspective on life.
Tahira moved to Australia after high school, giving her the opportunity to learn from a myriad of industry professionals. She has applied these acquired skills to several short films, a couple of local commercials, and even a co-star role as a barista on Season 2 of Young Rock.
