- Jaya McSharma is a doctor-turned-actress, best known for being the writer, co-director, and lead actress of #BrownBridgetMD. She has written and hosted three successful web series and was selected as a top 20 finalist in the Louisiana Film Prize. She was voted Best Actress 2018 at the Louisiana Film Prize for #BrownBridgetMD, where she was featured in 3 additional films: Oysterman, Sammy Dees: Car Salesman Extraordinaire, and The Honeypot.
She also played an onscreen filmmaker and host of the successful five-episode web series, "Tour De Bossier," which won a Silver Addy Award.
She is a native of Alexandria, Louisiana and is married to the better half of McSharma Productions, her husband Jacob. Together they adore the three best cats in the world: Rose, Neo, and Wally!

- Jaya is a lifelong Monkees stalker/fan and was called onstage by them twice! Once by Davy Jones (who jumped off the stage to serenade her as she tried to take a potty break) and again a almost two years later by Micky Dolenz, her first ever crush, to sing "Daydream Believer" in Davy's honor. She butchered it tonally but did it with love and got to hug every Monkee on stage! #DCT!!! (Google-able).
- Jaya's maiden name is Sharma, but she combined it with her husband's original last name and together they created the McSharmas! First of their name! (So far as we know).
