Shane Appell

Shane Thomas Appell is an American singer, best known as a member of the band Midnight 'Til Morning. Born and raised in a small town in New York, Appell started playing the drums at age 6, later learning how to play piano and guitar. Appell has released several singles as a solo artist. In 2024 he was cast in Netflix's music reality show Building The Band, in which he and three other contestants - Mason Watts, Conor Smith and Zach Newbould - formed Midnight 'Til Morning. In September 2024, Australian label Chugg signed Midnight 'Til Morning. The band released five songs and an EP with seven songs called "Afterglow" between August and October 2025. In November 2025 an extended version,"Afterglow Unplugged" was released, with the seven songs from "Afterglow" and five additional songs, which are acoustic versions. In October and November 2025, Midnight 'til Morning had its debut tour in Canada, USA and Australia. In January and February 2026 they toured the UK, Europe and Asia. A second US and European tour as well as a first tour in Latin America are planned for March, April and May 2026.
