Daniel Mejía Trujillo (b. 1992, Medellín, Colombia) is a director and singer-songwriter working across film, animation, branded content, and music. A Summa Cum Laude graduate of The Savannah College of Art and Design (2016), his work includes the International Emmy-nominated series "Dapinty, Una Aventura Musicolor" and the India Catalina-winning "Los Caramelokis". His short film "The Artist’s Awakening" received Best Student Film at the Beverly Hills Film Festival. He has directed music videos and commercial campaigns for major Latin American artists and brands, while building a parallel career as a recording artist. His debut album "1992", released in 2025 under the name Daniel Mejia, followed a series of nationally covered singles. His music blends bolero, mariachi, and retro pop, with collaborations from Colombia’s independent scene. Named one of Colombia’s 50 Most Creative by Forbes in 2022, he continues to develop narrative and documentary projects that connect cinema and music as a unified practice.
