Biography

Viktoria Somogyi, born in Hungary, has been working as a radio producer, news editor, reporter and presenter for over a decade in Rome, Italy. She also freelances as a correspondent for numerous publications, radio stations, online news agencies and writes for an American monthly. She established and led the Hungarian edition of an online multimedia news service in Rome from 2008 to 2010. In 2013, Viktoria participated as a contributing host in an American documentary production. Two years later she published her first book as a co-author. For the past couple of years she has been working on her first documentary, Foreclosing on Faith (2016).

Viktoria graduated in English and Hungarian Literature and Linguistics from the University ELTE in Budapest, Hungary. She also has a degree in Economics. She studied Literature, History of Art and History for a year at the University of Reading, England. In Rome, Italy she attended the University "La Sapienza" where she studied International Relations. She speaks English, Italian, some French and Hungarian.
