Biography

Raised in a literary environment by two bookshop owners, Aris developed an early passion for narrative and visual culture, which led him to complete an MA in Film Studies and become known for his artistic film productions.

Over the years, Aris has developed and produced more than twenty short films that have screened widely, earning distinctions such us the South East European Award for Dam (Drama ISFF 2017), a Silver Méliès nomination for Still Life (Lund IFF 2018), and the Greek Film Critics Association Award (P.E.K.K.) for Crossing (Drama ISFF 2023).

He is an alumnus of IFF Rotterdam Lab 2026 and Berlinale Talents Sarajevo, and the recipient of the CineLink Pack & Pitch Award for Holy Kid (Sarajevo IFF 2021). His work has been presented at plenty major industry platforms and pitching forums, including EuroConnection at Clermont-Ferrand IFF, the Thessaloniki IFF Agora, Marseille’s 3rd Character Market (IMFF), Ghent IFF’s Film Music Days (WSA), and European Short Pitch.

In 2022, Aris joined FOSS Productions, initially as a Production Manager in the long-running drama series The Beach (ERT), a period saga of 300 episodes in 2 seasons, that drew millions of viewers in Greece and is currently sold worldwide by Beta Film, gaining international recognition and critical success.

Since 2025, Aris has been part of FOSS Productions’ Cinema & Series Department, working as a producer in the development of a diverse slate of films and drama series, while overseeing the long-running dark comedy series The Child (ERT)
