Durgesh Singh(II)

Durgesh Singh is an Indian writer, best known for writing the award-winning show 'Gullak' Season 2 and Season 3. He was born on 27th November, 1987 in Gulzarganj, Uttar Pradesh, India. Durgesh finished his schooling in his hometown before enrolling at Allahabad University. He was introduced to literature, prolific writers, and other topics at university. He finished his Master's degree in mass communication. His love of writing eventually led him to Mumbai in 2012, where he got his first job as a junior writer for Nilesh Mishra's famous show 'Yaadon Ka Idiot Box,' and was quickly promoted to lead writer. The desire to do something different led him to Advertising, where he worked with agencies such as DDB Mudra, Leo Burnett, Ogilvy, and others. Amrit Raj Gupta, Director of Gullak S01 approached him to write the title track for Gullak, and luck smiled on him. The positive response to the title track 'Yaadon Ki Gullak' gave him the confidence to change his career path. His genuine and sincere writing earned him the opportunity to write Gullak Season 2, which took home five Filmfare OTT Awards in 2021, and Season 3, which took home three Filmfare OTT Awards in 2022, including the Best Comedy Show for two consecutive years.
