Galassia Grassetto is a filmmaker who grew up living between Paris and Mexico City. Her Italian father was an engineer and her mother worked for a Mexican cinema magazine. By the time she was four years old, Galassia was fluent in English, Italian, Spanish, and French.

Galassia is a passionate filmmaker dedicated to producing documentaries that highlight pressing environmental issues. Her formative years were filled with vivid memories of marine life, fueling her dedication to ocean conservation. As a young diver, she also witnessed marine life disappearing in her favorite places, which spurred her mission to protect the ocean, with a special focus on combating the shark fin trade.
