After earning an undergraduate degree in English, communications and theater from Tennessee Tech University, he studied acting at the University of Tennessee. As an adult, he has performed in community and professional theater and for television. He is also known for disability advocacy and supports disability inclusion in film. He also produces and hosts two podcasts.
