Biography

Harrison Goytia is an American filmmaker, writer, musician, and actor born in Houston, Texas. Harrison's father, Robin Goytia, an orthopedic surgeon, is from Bueno Aires, Argentina and his mother, Julie Goytia, a speech-language pathologist, is from Houston, Texas.

Harrison has been writing and creating short films for the last four years in Los Angeles, New York City and Houston. Harrison earned the Quarter-Finalist Award for Best Super Short Film in the 2023 Student World Impact Film Festival (SWIFF) where there were 13,868 submissions from 120 countries for his most recent film that he wrote, directed, edited and produced, Mind Over Machine.

Harrison's first feature film as an actor was House With A Clock In Its Walls with Jack Black and Cate Blanchett. He has also acted in short films and over a dozen community theatre and high school theatre productions.

At Episcopal High School in Bellaire, Texas, Harrison is in the advanced acting repertory and the advanced filmmaking class. He spends summers in Los Angeles and New York City developing and creating projects. Harrison is a Masters Acting student at Cathryn Sullivan's Acting For Film Studio in Lewisville, Texas where he constantly works on his acting and character development. Harrison is an avid snow skier, gamer, hiker and fan of travel and outdoor adventures with friends and family.

Harrison has been creating music, writing lyrics and playing the guitar for the last five years and has put out songs on Spotify. Harrison is a strong supporter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation where he has been on the Youth Leadership Council and a Youth Ambassador for the last 8 years. He has a sister studying Media Production in college as well as a 6-year-old Australian Shepherd, Oreo and a 13-year-old rescue cat, Speedy.
