Kalesh Ramanand shot to fame with his most popular character of "Selva" from the Blockbuster Malayalam movie Hridayam (Streaming on Disney+ Hotstar). His performance in the film was loved by everyone so much that his fans fondly address him as "Selva".

Other notable characters of his are:

1) The negative role of Indradhanush in the SuperHit Malayalam film Varshangalkku Shesham. 2) The role of Pazhani opposite Sai Pallavi in the award winning Tamil film Gargi. 3) A strong cameo role of Anumohan in the critically acclaimed Malayalam film Neeraja.

Kalesh Ramanand was inducted to the Young Artists Association at the Festival De Cannes for his performance in the Tamil short film The Surreal which had it's premiere in Cannes in 2014.
