Bryan Bachman

Overview

  • Height
    6′ 1″ (1.85 m)

Mini bio

  • Bryan Bachman was born in Huntington Beach, California, and moved around the country throughout his childhood. He enlisted in the United States Army out of high school and served eight years as an airborne infantryman in the 82nd Airborne Division, completing two combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan and reaching the rank of Staff Sergeant. The service cost him 75 percent of his hearing, a loss that led him to learn American Sign Language and lip reading. He left the Army to build a life with his wife and their two children, and turned toward acting. He first studied with Larry Moss at The Playroom Theatre, where his time with Moss opened his eyes to the craft of acting. He has trained weekly in scene study with Karl Bury at 29th Street Rep for many years. Larry opened his eyes. Karl sharpened the sword. Bryan went on to originate the role of Cpt. Jeremy Smith in Last Out: Elegy of a Green Beret, written by retired Green Beret Scott Mann, touring with the production nationally from 2019 through 2023. The Steppenwolf Theatre engagement of the tour was directed by Karl Bury and supported by the Gary Sinise Foundation. He has worked steadily in television and film alongside the tour and after, including a lead role as a deaf Army veteran in the Lifetime film You Better Watch Out, where he drew directly on his own ASL skills. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Screenwriting from Full Sail University and has written and directed his own feature film, MMO:IRL. He is also an active voiceover artist with a character range that includes everything from surfer dudes to goblin commanders. Bryan is based between Los Angeles and Atlanta.
