Veralucia Quispe Chirinos is an indigenous Peruvian sound mixer and filmmaker who migrated to New York at six, where her passion for audio storytelling ignited at LMC-TV. After earning her BFA from CCNY, she dedicated over a decade to mastering the craft of sound mixing across features, documentaries, music videos, and installations. Her meticulous approach to capturing authentic dialogue and environmental sound has brought depth and intimacy to countless projects, with her work premiering at Sundance, SXSW, Tribeca, and TIFF, streaming across all major platforms.
Beyond technical proficiency, Veralucia understands that audio is often the most vulnerable element of filmmaking, requiring trust, patience, and emotional intelligence to capture authentic voices. Her years listening deeply to stories as they unfold have shaped her approach to creating safe spaces for intimate storytelling. She brings this expertise to projects that honor marginalized communities while respecting boundaries, creating meaningful cinema that centers voices often unheard.
