Biography

Simone Policano is an actor, writer, and producer. She is a recurring guest star on CBS's Blue Bloods and has previously guest starred on NBC's New Amsterdam. Her film work has been featured in the Tribeca Film Festival, Cinequest Film Festival and Seattle Film Festival, among others. She has three features streaming on Amazon Prime: sci-fi drama "Auggie," opposite Richard Kind and Susan Blackwell, psychological thriller "This Is Our Home," in which she stars and produces, and 1960s heartfelt family drama "Extra Innings. Her comedy work has been featured on Comedy Central, IFC, and The New Yorker, and she has written for Above Average, the digital branch of Lorne Michael's Broadway Video. Theatrically she most recently performed in the original Off-Broadway cast of the award-winning comedy, The Play That Goes Wrong.

During the COVID-19 pandemic she co-founded Invisible Hands, a nonprofit that delivers groceries and essential supplies to the elderly and immunocompromised. Invisible Hands amassed over 10,000 volunteers at the height of the pandemic in New York City and was featured by Fox and Friends, Andrea Mitchell Reports, Good Morning America, the Associated Press, the New Yorker, and the New York Times, among others. They received awards from the Robin Hood Foundation, Manhattan Institute, Points of Light and Grant Thornton, and were also named among 2020's Top Philanthropists by Town and Country magazine alongside Oprah Winfrey, Dr. Anthony Fauci, and Governor Andrew Cuomo.

Simone holds a B.A. in American Studies from Yale University.
