Biography

Hocine Ait Ahmed was born on August 20, 1926 in Aït Yahia, Tizi Ouzou, Algeria. He died on December 23, 2015 in Lausanne, Canton de Vaud, Switzerland.

Last living of the six historical leaders of the Algerian War of Independence, he later co-founded the FFS and then went into exile.
