Biography

Italian screenwriter David Barbeschi is known for writing:

• Multiple globally-praised short films like PAWNS (2017) , an award-winning period drama which screened in over 30 film festivals and earned 2 million views on YouTube, and Lollie (2025), finalist of the 2025 Hollyshorts Film Festival.
• The dramedy feature film The Big Rant (2021) (available to watch on Amazon Prime), which he also co-produced.
• Screenplays with top placements in prestigious script competitions such as the feature script White Crow, nominated in 14 screenplay competitions, or Yatra which placed in the Academy Nicholl Fellowship, the Coverfly Red List and the Nashville Film Festival.

Coming from a producing background, he obtained an MFA in Screenwriting at the New York Film Academy, he develops screenplays from his office in Burbank, California.
