- Cailan is an avid fundraiser for Ontario's largest wildlife sanctuary. Every year she does a grueling long distance paddle, upwards of four days and nights, with dozens of rough terrain portages, to raise money and awareness that wildlife sanctions are not government funded in Canada.
- Cailan was accepted to Dalhousie University' science program on an academic scholarship. She hopes to complete her four years undergrad with a major in science and minor in psychology before going on to med school to become a psychiatrist specializing in youth and adolescents and addiction.
- Cailan is of Mi'Kmaq and British decent.
