Biography

Laurette Weaver, known as Laurie Weaver, is a voice actor, actress, comedian and podcaster best known as the creator and host of the long running podcast, Compulsive Overeating Diary. Originally from Tacoma Washington, Laurie moved to California in 1990 where she pursued a variety of jobs in technology. In 1997 she created a popular web site called ToonCat's Kids Club which encouraged kids to create their own art, stories and jokes. Laurie continued to work in increasingly technical positions until finally, she became a certified database developer for a large mutual fund company in Los Angeles. An avid bike rider, Laurie sustained serious injuries while training for a hundred-mile bike race and decided to retire early. She then returned to her love of telling stories and having fun by creating podcasts and training with the best voice acting coaches in Los Angeles. Laurie made her professional voice acting debut in the iconic video game Seiken densetsu 3: Trials of Mana (2020).
