- Oliver Wegmüller is a Finnish film composer based in Helsinki, known for his scores for the Cannes-nominated Other Half (2021); BAFTA-shortlisted Stories of You and I (2021), starring Academy Award-nominee Sir Jonathan Pryce (The Crown, The Two Popes); and the Jussi-nominated Blue Note (2022), starring Alma Pöysti (Fallen Leaves).
His work spans film and television, combining traditional scoring practices with modern music production techniques, and his approach to composition and storytelling is rooted in experimentation.
His credits include music for Fire Monkey's six-part thriller-drama Healer (2025) (Elisa Viihde, Ruutu+), whose score was nominated for "Vuoden Musiikkioivallus" by Teosto and Gramex (Finnish Music Innovation of the Year); Disney+ and Marcus Anthony Thomas's Space Plug (2023), which premiered at BFI London Film Festival; Söder Films' children's period thriller series Hallonbacken (2023) (YLE, SVT, NRK, DR); as well as Komeetta's coming-of-age series Lindan Huone (2024) (YLE TV2).
Before relocating to Helsinki, Oliver spent nearly a decade as a session musician in London, performing everywhere from BBC Maida Vale Studios to the Royal Albert Hall, sharing the stage with Paul Simon.
