Biography

Nic Yulo is an author and writer-director whose work spans picture books to AAA video games. She is the inaugural winner of the Disney Athena List Development Grant and has been named a Chinonye Chukwu Emerging Writer. Nic has also been awarded a New York Women in Film & Television Scholarship, a Breaking Barriers Grant for Female Directors, an Alfred P. Sloan Screenwriting Award, and been recognized by the Sloan Film Summit presented by Film Independent, Adobe Top Talent, SeriesFest, and Shondaland.

Nic is a writer for Ubisoft's AAA game Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Breakpoint, and its Splinter Cell, Terminator, Future Soldier, Rainbow Six Siege, and Operation Motherland DLCs. In 2021, Nic was inducted into the BAFTA Newcomers Program as a video game writer. She has since served as a juror for the Narrative and Leading Performance categories of the BAFTA Games Awards. Nic's debut picture books sold in a four-house auction and were published by Dial Books for Young Readers, an imprint of Penguin Random House.
