Biography

Geoffrey Fighiera was born in Reims (France), and has moved to Paris in 2000.

After 10 years working in project management and financial analysis for large corporations, in 2014 he realized that he could no longer cope with working in a sector that was so very far from his love for cinema. So he took the plunge and joined the last year of a french cinema school and started to live his dream. He is now a director and a production manager.

His past experience is very helpful in production, movie project management and above all, it is influencing his choices as a director. He is particularly passionate about films with messages.

Author and Director, born in Reims in 1980, Geoffrey Fighiera is above all since he was a child : a storyteller. However, it is because of is his business studies that he move to Paris where he begun his professional life in big corporations. In the same time, it is also in that City of Paris where he begun photography and cinema. Surrounded by these passions he has taken the plunge and has left the world of business for becoming movie director and photographer. After cinema studies, Geoffrey directed his first professional short movie in 2017, Struggle Within (Corps Défendants) and wins the best short movie in Cognac Festival. He is particularly attracted by thriller movies and by political movies with realistic atmosphere. His favorite ingredients for making a movie are disenchantment, absurdity of choice or complex human relationships. In 2020, he directed his second short movie : A Roll in the Hay (Une Partie en l'air) and has won Cognac Festival for the second time.
