Biography

Amalia Ulman is an artist and filmmaker based in New York. Her multidisciplinary practice constructs narrative fictions which explore the tensions between global forces, public image, and private desires. Ulman's debut feature, El Planeta, premiered at the 2021 Sundance Film festival and opened New Directors/New Films at MoMA Lincoln Center in New York. Her sophomore film, Magic Farm, premiered at the 2025 Sundance Film festival and the Berlinale.
