Edila Kasrin Farid is a celebrated costume designer based in Dhaka, Bangladesh, with over a decade of experience in film, television, and digital media. Since 2009, she has crafted costumes for more than 1,500 commercials, numerous feature films, web series, and short films, working on acclaimed projects like The Salt in Our Waters, No Dorai, Black Money, and Taqdeer. Honored with the Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Costume Designer and The Daily Star's Blender's Choice Award, Edila has recently ventured into storytelling, writing and developing her first short film Ashar Alo, awarded the 2025 Bangladesh National Grant. She continues to blend creativity and cultural insight, making a significant impact on Bangladesh's visual storytelling landscape.
