Oliver Granillo Vargas is a director, producer, and educator from Chihuahua, Mexico, with an 18-year career in the audiovisual industry. His academic background bridges engineering and visual arts, holding a degree in Mechatronics from UACJ and a diploma in Film Production from Vancouver Film School.

He has contributed to productions for Universal Pictures, Hallmark Channel, and Investigation Discovery, and played a key role in television projects such as El Mundo Paranormal de Vane and ACCESO for XEJTV. In the independent film scene, he has taken on roles as producer and first assistant director in projects like Una isla de ella, Con vista al río, and Arihua.

His 2024 short film A Silent Scream, which he wrote and directed, has received international acclaim, winning the Stigma Breaker Award at Mental Filmness in Chicago and the Latino Social, Political, Cultural Impact Award at the Latino and Native American Film Festival in Connecticut. The film was also a finalist at the SmallRig Awards 2025 and an official selection at festivals such as Angaelica (California).

Since 2018, he has combined his creative work with teaching, mentoring new generations in digital production, storytelling, and video game writing. His work is defined by a deep commitment to cinema as a tool for artistic and social transformation.
