Rahul Jain
Rahul Jain is an Indian filmmaker and creative director.

He is best known for his debut documentary feature, Machines (2016), an immersive look inside a textile factory in Gujarat. The film screened at over 160 festivals worldwide and garnered seventeen international awards, notably the Special Jury Award for Cinematography at the Sundance Film Festival and the Grierson Award for Best International Documentary.

Jain's second documentary feature, Invisible Demons (2021), exploring Delhi's severe pollution and climate collapse, was produced by Participant and MK2 Films. Following its premiere at the Cannes Film Festival, it was acquired by MUBI and went on to win the Jussi Award for Best Documentary in Finland, as well as the Serpentine Back to Earth Best Green Art Award.

Expanding his cinematic repertoire, Jain is making his directorial debut in narrative fiction with the short film, The Boy and the Bite. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film and Video, alongside a Master of Arts in Aesthetics and Politics, from the California Institute of the Arts (CalArts).
