Biography

Vanesa Paredes is an Argentine director, producer, and editor born in Buenos Aires. She holds a degree in Image and Sound Design from the University of Buenos Aires (UBA), which she completed in 2013.

Later that year, she moved to New Zealand, where she lived until February 2017. During her time there, she co-directed and edited Technology for Nature (2015), a documentary for the New Zealand Department of Conservation. In 2016, she directed and edited Crossing the Bridge, a multidisciplinary project funded by the Ashburton District Council and Creative New Zealand. She also collaborated on several promotional video campaigns, directing content for the Start with a Smile integration initiative of the Ashburton District Council, the University of Canterbury, and the Latin American Film Festival.

Since returning to Argentina in 2017, she has worked in the film and advertising industries as a producer and assistant director on various projects.

In 2024, she completed a Master's in Production Management in Vancouver, Canada, where she also produced and directed her second short film, Jouska.
