Biography

Perissa York, a Minnesota native, discovered her passion for acting at a young age through a drama class, which sparked her journey into the arts. She later pursued formal training at a performing arts high school, focusing on acting, dance, and voice. After starting her college education at the University of Minnesota, Perissa transferred to the University of Tampa to deepen her studies in film and television, graduating with a degree in Entrepreneurship and a minor in Dance.

In addition to acting, Perissa founded Artistic Frequency Productions to create projects that amplify underrepresented voices and diverse stories. She is committed to making a meaningful impact both on and off the screen.

An avid traveler, Perissa draws inspiration from her global experiences, having captured moments in places like Greece, Colombia, Turkey, and more. These multicultural insights allow her to bring depth and authenticity to her roles. Perissa is eager to collaborate with directors and creatives who share her passion for inclusive storytelling and nuanced performances.
