He works with the writers, producers, directors and actors. He has done this since the very beginning of the series. He answers questions and works directly with the writers on the stories. He works with the production team by utilizing his experiences and relationships in the police world for something as simple as a document to product placement of hi-end electronic specialty equipment. He offers options and solutions to directors so they can accomplish their vision of the episode. He works with the actors showing real Police Tactics. How to use weapons, make building entries, felony traffic stops and covert surveillances just to name a few.
He is a Chicago Police Detective with over 30 years of police experience. He is also an Electronics Technician with over 30 years of experience.
He worked in the Englewood and Fillmore Districts of Chicago. As a Decoy and Undercover Officer on Public Transportation. In an Undercover capacity in Narcotics. Promoted to Detective he worked Violent Crimes and Career Criminal Cases. Which included Armed Robberies, Homicides, Sexual Assaults and High-Profile Crime Patterns. The last eight years he was assigned to the Intelligence Section. While in Intelligence his skills as an Electronic Technician allowed him to conduct Hi-Tech court ordered Electronic Surveillances. Which led to the arrest and successful prosecutions of all forms of Organize Crime. From Street Gangs to Drug Cartels and Murders for Hire. Additionally he was assigned to assist in High-Profile Cases commonly called Heater Cases. Which included Police involved shootings and the In the Line of Duty Murders of Police Officers.
