Matthew Gouveia is a highly versatile, Dora Award-winning actor, who was one of eight actors chosen for the prestigious Actors Conservatory at Norman Jewison's Canadian Film Centre. He is also a graduate of the Humber College Theatre Performance program. Matthew is known for his critically acclaimed stage performances in 'Killer Joe' and 'People, Places and Things' at the Coal Mine Theatre, while working steadily in film and television and as a voice actor. Many of the feature and short films Matthew has played leading roles in have garnered official selections and awards at film festivals around the world. Most recently, he played the lead role in the film 'Dish Pit' which had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival (2025).
