  • Her real name is 'Ayse Nigâr'. Her life is like a movie. She was born in Edirne. She had a middle education that could be considered important for that period. She was a pasha's daughter and a head nurse in our War of Independence.

She started her professional stage work at Darülbedayi, which would become the City Theaters in 1934 (1924).

She married Muammer Gözalan, a cinema and theater artist, in 1928. They have two children: Si(y)ret (1929) and Nesrin.
