Mini bio

  • Arrianna Leigh is an actor and award-winning filmmaker based in Bedfordshire. She is the founder of multi-award-winning production company Storm Cloud Productions, and the writer, producer, and lead actor behind the 'haunting and unforgettable' fantasy-thriller short film The Shadow.

Originally from South Bend, Indiana, Arrianna fell in love with acting and filmmaking at a young age. She trained in theatre, show choir, and dance at Clay Magnet High School for the Fine Arts, then went on to earn her BFA in Musical Theatre from Millikin University. There, she served as a TA for Acting I-II and Advanced Scene Study, and was one of the students selected to film and edit department production trailers.

After graduating, Arrianna moved to Los Angeles in 2014, where she spent nearly a decade building a career across film, television, commercials, and musical theatre. It was during this time that she found her first opportunities to pursue her lifelong passion for writing and producing her own work professionally. In 2019, she wrote, produced, and starred in her first original web series, Max and Mandy, directed by Lauren Meyering, whose film (Horsegirls) was Blacklist-selected and premiered at Tribeca 2025. Max and Mandy was well received and managed to gain agency representation before development stalled due to the pandemic.

Arrianna relocated to England in 2023, founding Storm Cloud Productions in March 2025 after assembling a team of local creatives and filmmakers to bring her first original short film to life. Storm Cloud's debut film, The Shadow, went into production that April. Though it's the company's very first release, the film has already made waves on the festival circuit - winning Best Thriller at its first festival (BIFF) and the New Waves Grand Prix at the Cannes Indie Short Awards, beating out more than 180 films from all around the world.

Arrianna is driven by a passion for emotionally resonant storytelling centered on women, the queer community, and other underrepresented voices.
