His son Donnie is a makeup effects artist and graduate of the Tom Savini Program in Monessen, Pennsylvania.
Attended Mount Saint Mary's University in Emmitsburg, Maryland where he received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology with a Criminal Justice concentration and was active in the campus radio station.
