Annika Connor

Annika Connor is a multidisciplinary artist, actor, screenwriter, and creative entrepreneur whose work spans visual art, performance, comedy, acting, screenwriting, music, and independent production.

Known for her vibrant watercolor and oil paintings, Connor uses strong symbolism and vivid imagery to ignite the imagination.

In addition to her work in the studio, Connor is the founder of Silly Song Studios, an independent comedy entertainment and creative production company developing original projects across film, television, music, publishing, and digital media.

Connor holds a BFA in Painting and Performance from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and is a SAG-AFTRA actor, New York SAG-AFTRA Board member, and serves the union on the Performers with Disabilities Committee, the New York Government and Public Affairs Committee, and on the union's National AI Task Force & New Technology Committee.

Connor is an Upright Citizens Brigade certified Improv Actor. Connor has also studied comedy writing and performance at the Magnet Theater, the People's Improv Theater, the Nantucket Film Festival & Almanack Screenwriter Sessions, and the Blueprint Screenwriting Group.

Annika Connor’s creative practice has developed across multiple disciplines, with visual art, performance, comedy, and storytelling continually informing her work as a writer and filmmaker.

Through Silly Song Studios, Connor is developing an original slate of comedic projects ranging from feature films and television to original songs and music videos, children's publishing, and other forms of digital entertainment.

The company is designed to allow ideas to move fluidly between mediums while building a collaborative network of performers, writers, filmmakers, musicians, artists, technicians, and production resources.
