Kat Roman

Kat Roman is a freelance writer, director, editor and producer based in New York City (Farewell Amor- Sundance Official Selection, The Miracle Twerker- NewFest Official Selection, Lucy- Sundance Creative Producing Labs- Finalist). She cut her teeth, creating content for Smithsonian Digital Studio and Smithsonian Networks. Kat has served on the Blackfin TV production team, creating episodic content for Investigation Discovery and Netflix. She has worked across most platforms (feature films: Rehab Cabin, Blood, Friends Forever, digital campaigns: GMC, Marine Corps, Row New York, short films, and music videos: Let the Moonshine, Luke Combs) and holds an MFA in Producing for Film and TV from Feirstein. An intuitive storyteller and proactive production professional, Kat is emotionally intelligent, logistically acute, 'narratively' aware, detail-obsessed, and technically minded.
