Mini bio

  • Wolfgang Ritzberger, born in 1961, had his first experience on a film set at seventeen as an extra in the movies "A little Nightmusic" with Elisabeth Taylor and "The Prisoner of Zenda" with Peter Sellers, while the shooting took place in and around Vienna. Wolfgang Ritzberger's last Hollywood movie was the Disney Musketeer film in the '90s, also shot in Vienna - Wolfgang was an excellent sport-fencer (Member of the Sabre National Team) and the production needed a lot of properly trained fencers for the huge fighting scenes. Gymnasium in Vienna, studied economics at Vienna University, educated actor and singer, nearly 20 years as a producer and director at the ORF (at ZIB 2, the late night news show of the Austrian broadcasting company), director and actor. He founded his production company in 2000, was director of several theater festivals, wrote and performed 5 comedy shows and has been making numerous attempts to finance his own feature films.

"The Best Of All Worlds" was brought to Wolfgang Ritzberger / RitzlFilm by the director (Adrian Goiginger). Together they developed script and project. Wolfgang Ritzberger covered most of the financing and was therefore the leading producer of this international co-production. "The Best Of all Worlds" was his first feature film with his own production company.
