Streaming Stars, Then and Now

David S. Shapiro is a physician, surgeon, and administrator in a hospital and academic system in Connecticut. He has been featured in a documentary titled "The Sweetest Land" about the trials and tribulations of firearm violence in his region. He was most recently was included as one of many contributors in "Between the Shades," a documentary challenging the perception of gender, sexuality, and the truth of identity in the modern world.

Dr. Shapiro has expertise in surgery, medicine, patient safety, quality, and hospital care. His expertise in traumatic injury and critical care have been sought by documentary and dramatic producers to better represent medicine onscreen.
