Streaming Stars, Then and Now

Linda Grubben (née Tjørhom) was born on 13 September 1979 in Stavanger, Norway. She is a former professional biathlete, well known for her remarkably fast and precise shooting abilities. Grubben made her World Cup debut on 12 February 2000. Her career shows 8 individual of all 14 victories and 22 individual of all 40 podiums. Her record shows also a one discipline title for the Individual in 2002-2003. Linda Grubben participated in 2 Winter Olympics - in 2002 and 2006. She won one silver Olympic medal in 2002 in Salt Lake City with the relay team. She didn't take part in other races except the Individual where placed 39th. At the 2006 Olympics in Turin, Grubben started in all disciplines. Unfortunately she didn't win any medals. She positioned 50th in the Individual, 19h in the sprint, 15th in the pursuit, 14th in the mass start and 5th in the relay. Grubben won 6 medals from World Championships from 2000 until 2007 - one gold in the 15 km Individual, one silver in the 12.5 km pursuit and one bronze in the relay in Antholz-Anterselva in 2007; one gold and one silver with the relay in Oberhof in 2004 and respectfully in 2006 in Pokljuka; one bronze in the Individual event in Hochfilzen in 2005. Alongside her teammate and compatriot, the remarkable Ole Einar Bjørndalen won the Veltins Biathlon World Team Challenge on 30 December 2006 in Gelsenkirchen, Germany. Grubben secured their victory with her outstanding shooting during the competition. On 5 August 2006 Linda Tjørhom married the Norwegian national biathlon coach Roger Grubben and took his family name. One year later in December 2007 she gave birth to their daughter Lisa. After the successful World Championships in 2007, she announced her retirement. Later Linda Grubben gave birth to her second daughter, Oda.

Alongside &#39;Ole Einar Bjorndalen&#39; won the Veltins Biathlon World Team Challenge on 30 December 2006 in Gelsenkirchen, Germany.

Won the 15 km Individual in Antholz-Anterselva during the 2006-2007 season.

Known for her high concentration and fast and accurate shooting abilities.

Won 6 medals from World Championships over the years.

In December 2007 gave birth to first child, a daughter.

Retired from biathlon on 11 February 2007.

Came 2nd in the pursuit in Hochfilzen in 2006-2007 season.

Made her World Cup debut on 12 February 2000.

Married to the former biathlon Norwegian coach Roger Grubben. They have 2 children together, Lisa and Oda.

Won one gold Olympic medal in the relay event in 2002 in Salt Lake City.

Won the pursuit in Östersund in 2006-2007 season.

Has one discipline title for the 15 km Individual in the 2002-2003 season.
