Mahdokht Mahmoudabadi is an Iranian-born editor based in New York, specializing in archival documentaries. With a deep passion for storytelling and a commitment to amplifying underrepresented narratives, she brings a unique perspective to every project. A classically trained musician, Mahdokht seamlessly integrates her artistic sensibilities and technical expertise into her work. Her most recent feature, The Encampments, garnered a Special Mention Award at CPH:DOX and saw successful theatrical releases both in the U.S. and internationally. Mahdokht has also been selected as a 2025 Berlinale Talents participant for the prestigious Edit Studio.
