Tony Johansson is an Emmy-winning cinematographer whose recent work includes Space Cowboy, which premiered at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival, If These Walls Could Rock, which premiered at DOC NYC, and Hacking Hate, winner of Best Documentary at the Tribeca Film Festival.
Born in Sweden, Johansson has spent the last two decades living and working across Europe and the United States, building a career across documentaries, commercials, and narrative filmmaking. After ten years in New York City, he relocated to Los Angeles, where he is now based while continuing to work internationally.
Known for his cinematic and emotionally driven visual style, Johansson moves fluidly between documentary, commercial, and narrative storytelling, always focused on creating imagery that feels honest, striking, and lasting.
