Romel Vargas is a Bolivian actor from Oruro, based in Cochabamba. He starred in Søren by Juan Carlos Valdivia, Reflejos detrás del agua by Ariel Montaño, and El Loco y la Monja by Andrés Escobar.
His additional film credits include El Visitante by Martín Boulocq, Llajua by Nakai Mirtenbaum, Anomalía by Sergio Vargas, and Viernes de Soltero and Boquerón by Tonchy Antezana, among others.
On stage, he has collaborated with Teatro de los Andes in La Caverna and has performed at major international theater festivals.
His performances have earned him recognition, including Best Actor at the 48HFP Cochabamba for Übermensch (2019) and Best Actor at the 1st Leones de Fuego Film Festival for A dos balas.
He appeared in the episode Huelga of the series Historias de Libertad, directed by Martín Boulocq and Andrea Camponovo, produced by Grupo Ukamau. He completed filming Lemu by Juan Pablo Richter and is currently working on Diamante by Yashira Jordán and Mona by Denisse Arancibia.
