Monika Valkunaite is a Lithuanian actress based in Barcelona, trained at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and in the Meisner Technique. She's often cast as the secretary, the nurse, the teacher, or the composed mother holding everything together. But there's another gear underneath: quick, clumsy, quietly chaotic, closer to Phoebe from Friends than to the buttoned-up characters she's known for. Bilingual in Lithuanian and English American, she also speaks Spanish, Russian, and Italian. She is chairperson of the Lithuanian Actors Guild and an ambassador for The Actors Home.
