Biography

Born and brought up in Assam, India Dhiraj kashyap is a Master of Arts from Gauhati University. He has made his directorial debut with the feature film 'Mohamukti' in 1998. The film had received awards for best film and director at the state film award festival. He also directed four other feature film 'Dhan kuberor dhan'(2008), 'Lokabandhoo' (2015), 'Amateurs' (2024) and 'Brahmakanya' (2025). 'Amateurs' has been screened verious International film festival and has owned best regional film in Ayodhya film festival 2024, best screenplay and best actor male award in Sailadhar Baruah Award (NE)2024, best director award in North east India International Film Festival 2025, Manipur.His film Brahmakanya have already screened in various International film festival of the World.He has made a numbers of documentaries and short films. He has also produced a numbers of programmes for verious department of Government of Assam and Doordarshan Kendra Guwahati.
