Kateryna Strukova is a Ukrainian-born makeup designer and SFX artist who has been working in film and television since 2008. She graduated from the Academy of Arts in Kyiv with formal training in makeup artistry and later expanded her expertise to include hair-styling and professional wig work.
Kateryna built her early career working on major entertainment shows and scripted productions, eventually supervising makeup departments and leading creative teams.
She completed advanced SFX and props training at the Lenfilm Studio and later founded the StrukovaFX workshop in Kyiv. There, she assembled a team that created high-end prosthetic, silicone figures, and specialty effects for Ukrainian and international co-productions.
Her workshop produced hyper-realistic silicone figures for major museums in Kyiv and Lviv, including 36 life-size portraits of prominent Ukrainians for national exhibitions. She also launched MakeFx, an online store specializing in professional SFX materials, and collaborated with well-known global makeup brands.
Kateryna has worked with leading film companies in Ukraine and participated in international productions in countries such as Indonesia, Moldova, and Lithuania.
In 2019, she received the Ukrainian national film award "Golden Dzyga" for Best Makeup for the feature film "Brama."
Kateryna is a member of both the Ukrainian Film Academy and the European Film Academy. She now lives in Los Angeles, California, continuing her work in the U.S. film and entertainment industry. Her expertise includes beauty makeup, SFX makeup, hair-styling, wig work (beards, mustaches), airbrushing, sculpting, sketching, and specialty props.
She is open to collaborations and new creative opportunities.
