Biography

Born and raised in Texas, I've had an interest, actually a dream, to be in movies since childhood. I started out my acting doing Civil War reenacting for 8 years, rising to the rank of 2nd Lieutenant. After Civil War reenacting, I started performing in Old West shows in and around the Dallas/Fort Worth area and have been doing this for the past 5 years. I also got into movies 4 years ago and have been an extra on TV series such as the new "Dallas" TV series, the "Second Chance" TV series, and also a TV pilot series called, "Salvation". I have participated in several Independent movies such as Black October, Nail 32, Headin for Mexico, Sense of Urgency, Gypsy Moon, Black Totem, Moon Crossing, No Man's Land, and Showdown on the Brazos (which is now in production). I have just recently been cast as a Child Protection Agent in the movie The Maddy Wonder Story (scheduled for production in November 2019). I also did a YouTube series called Renegades, Original Series. I am very familiar with firearms, pistols and rifles, and can load and handle the weapon well. I have period correct clothing from the 1836 era , through the civil war era, uniforms and civilian (1860's), and the cowboy era (1870 - 1890) . I have taken acting lessons with the Texas Actors Group 101. I am also a member of the North Fort Worth Historical Society and volunteer in their museum.

James Madewell (born November 2, 1947) is a Texas born actor who began his acting doing Civil War reenacting rising to the rank of 2nd Lieutenant.
