Biography

Ilse Braun was one of two sisters of Eva Braun. Born in Munich, Ilse was the oldest daughter of school teacher Friedrich Braun and seamstress Franziska "Fanny" Kronberger. She became the sister-in-law of Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler following his marriage to Eva on 29 April 1945, less than 40 hours before the couple committed suicide together on 30 April 1945.

Worked for Albert Speer from March - October 1937. Unlike her sisters, and Speer, Ilse had no involvement in politics, and was not a member of Hitler's inner circle.

Sister of Eva Braun, and Gretl Braun. Sister-in-law of Hermann Fegelein until Adolf Hitler ordered him shot. Two hours after Fegelein was shot, Hitler married Eva. They committed suicide less than 40 hours later.
