Biography

Castro Vegas was born in 1974 in Culver City , California. His father , Anthony Ferrer , was a drug addict. His mother , Sheffer Lewis re married Joesph Powers and raised her son as best as she could. Castro Vegas graduated high school in 1992 and attended U.S.L in Lafayette , La majoring in Finance and minoring in Economics with a concentration in Money and Banking. Castro Vegas first attempt at film making was in 2014 with the short film Bad Luck Larry goes to Hollywood. Castro Vegas continued his education in theater arts at the Actors Studio in Hollywood , The Second City of Hollywood in 2018-2019 , Castro Vegas shared the stage with many upcoming actors and improvisers at such places as UCB on Sunset and the Westside Comedy Theater in Santa Monica. Castro Vegas has released several projects since 2014 with 2 being available on Amazon Prime . The first being The Castro Vegas show which is in its third season and the second being the horror short The Manor House which was released in 2020. In 2017 Castro Vegas Enterprises was formed to release project to streaming services to date 9 projects were released under this company. The web series Down and Out The Story of a Sub Let was the first to be released in 2016. The Castro Vegas Show soon followed with the first episode being released in 2017. The Crane Plumbing Agenda a SAG project was also released in 2017.Castro Vegas released a short film in 2018 titled The Way We Were. With the rise in popularity of social media, Castro Vegas released another horror short directly to IGtv titled The House Plant in 2020 along with the Mockumentary Niggas on a Wave and a series of sketches titled Tales from the Cockmaster. Castro Vegas currently has several projects under development to be released in late 2021.
