Damian Alpizar is a Cuban American director, writer, and producer whose work spans documentary film, narrative storytelling, television, advertising, and visual effects. Raised in Florida, he has built a career creating visually ambitious, emotionally driven stories for audiences around the world.
As the founder of 208 Monkeys, Alpizar leads projects from creative development through production, post-production, and final delivery. His filmmaking approach combines narrative structure with an extensive technical background in cinematography, editing, visual effects, animation, and practical production. Alpizar directed and helped shape *sHEALed*, a four-part documentary saga exploring women’s health, healing, and personal transformation. The series established an ongoing creative partnership between 208 Monkeys and Lolli Brands Entertainment and helped launch an expanding slate of documentary films and television projects.
In 2026, Alpizar began directing and overseeing the narrative development of *Bye Ol’ Dentistry*, a three-film documentary series examining the relationship between oral health, biological dentistry, and whole-body wellness. His work on the project includes story development, editorial direction, creative supervision, and the shaping of a unified narrative across the three films.
His earlier film work includes serving as a second-unit and visual-effects supervisor on the Lionsgate and AMBI-distributed family films *Bernie the Dolphin* and *Bernie the Dolphin 2*, where he helped oversee visual-effects photography and underwater dolphin sequences.
Alpizar also wrote and produced the fan film *Nightmare: Return to Elm Street*. The film was ranked by Syfy Wire as the number-one Freddy Krueger fan film and accumulated more than 10 million combined views across online platforms.

Before moving more extensively into directing, Alpizar developed years of experience as a producer, visual-effects supervisor, compositor, CGI artist, and practical-effects supervisor.
